This week we were asked to either illustrate a book cover or a two page spread of the Aesop fable The Fox and the Crow.
I decided on the two page spread. In this fable, the fox flatters the crow because he wants the cheese that she's holding. When she opens her mouth to sing, the cheese falls down and the fox catches it. The moral is 'Do not trust flatterers'. I am pretty happy with my manipulative fox and my smitten crow.
